Our Story
The idea for Spice By Tia Mowry® Dutch Oven was born when Tia became a mom and began cooking more at home. She found herself needing cookware that was both stylish and versatile enough to keep up with her busy lifestyle.
As a working actress and cookbook writer, Tia didn’t have time to fuss with complicated recipes or kitchen tools. She yearned for cookware that was low-maintenance, simplified meal prep, and added flair to everyday dishes.
Unable to find what she was looking for on the market, Tia decided to create her own line of cookware. She aimed to design pieces that fused fashion with function – ones that not only cooked food flawlessly but looked gorgeous on the stovetop or tabletop.
In 2019, Tia joined forces with our team of product designers and manufacturing experts to make her vision a reality. Leveraging her insider knowledge as a home cook and our decades of experience crafting premium cookware, we brought Spice By Tia Mowry® Dutch Oven to life.
Since then, we’ve expanded the collection to include bakeware, cutlery, and other kitchen essentials – all infused with Tia’s laidback, California-cool style. Our brand continues to grow while staying true to our core mission of helping home cooks like Tia nourish their loved ones in style.

Our Founder
Our founder, Tia Mowry, provides the creative vision and heart behind Spice By Tia Mowry® Dutch Oven. She brings a unique perspective as both a cookbook author and a busy working mom.
After starring in the hit 90s sitcom Sister, Sister, Tia went on to appear in movies, TV shows, and a Cooking Channel series called Tia Mowry at Home. She’s also authored cookbooks like Whole New You and a children’s book.
However, her greatest joy is being a wife to Cory Hardrict and mother to Cree and Cairo. Mealtimes provide an opportunity for Tia’s family to disconnect from technology and connect with each other. She has beautiful memories of gathering around the table for her mother’s down-home cooking growing up.
Tia hopes to inspire other families to embrace cooking and enjoy it as quality bonding time. Her hands-on approach to creating the Spice collection reflects her mission of bringing loved ones together through food.
